OPEN CALL: Vermont Center for Photography
The Vermont Center for Photography is now accepting solo, duo, and group show proposals for the 2012 exhibition season.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all photographers. You do not have be an exhibiting member to submit.
MEDIA: Photography
DEADLINE: Sunday, May 29, 2011
NOTIFICATION: They will begin the review process in early June.
ENTRY FEE: There is no fee to submit a proposal; however, if selected there is a $200 hanging fee for each show. This fee includes the printing costs of publicity materials and other necessary expenditures related to the exhibition. This fee also covers refreshments for the opening reception.
SUBMISSIONS: In your proposal, please include: Your name(s), bio, resume, and artist statement; Proposed title of exhibit; Dates (month/year) preferred for exhibition; Three potential sponsors and/or donors; Description of themes/ideas you plan to address in the context of your exhibition; a Description of your work and how you plan to use the gallery space (if you would like a copy of the gallery plan, please e-mail Sarah Horowitz, Gallery Director at info@vcphoto.org); a Description of an artist talk and/or event you would like to hold in conjunction with your proposed exhibition; and a CD with 3-5 jpeg images (approx. 5×7″ and 300 ppi) of the proposed work for exhibition.
