Beautiful food is enticing. Culinary schools offer classes that teach presentation for a reason. But ugly food has its place. I had lunch with a friend yesterday; she insisted I pick the restaurant. I chose Indian food only to discover she had never eaten Indian food. I felt the need to warn her that the food was delicious, but ugly. Maybe ugly is a little too strong.
