CALL for ENTRIES: Expo 36

Learn more about Expo 36 from the b.j. spoke gallery!fast FARE

The freezer saves dinner about two days a week in my house.  We purposefully cook more portions than we can eat and save the leftovers.  It started out as a way to send lunch with my kiddo for school, but it has become a dinner rescue regularly.  When you get busy and have forgotten to plan for dinner and live nearly a half hour from the closest grocery or restaurant, you’re grateful for frozen leftovers.  This next Call is not a leftover or frozen, but I did neglect to plan the publication more than a few days out from the deadline.  Sorry about that…

Check out this Call for Entries from the b.j. spoke gallery (Huntington, NY) for Expo 36.  The deadline for this New York gallery show is just days away.  Don’t miss this chance…

CALL for ENTRIES: Materialized

Learn more about the Materialized exhibit from The University Gallery at CMU!wedding SWEETS

Practical 3D food printing exists.  years ago I made some clever segue using Star Trek’s food replicator as a the unthinkable –food printing.  And now, there is the Bocusini, which uses all-natural food cartridges to print solid-ingredient food sculpture.  The first use that pops to mind is EDIBLE, miniature, exact reproductions of human body scans for wedding cake toppers.  Not the first thing that popped into your mind? Is it just me? What a perfectly unreasonable, delightfully impractical application.  This next Call wants your artistic applications, practicality not required.  These calls are rare; don’t miss it…

Check out this Call for Entries from The University Art Gallery at Central Michigan University for Materialized: Juried 3D Printed Art.  Don’t miss an opportunity to exhibit in this unique venue (an A-frame, former chapel built in 1959)Check it out…

*Editor’s Note:  You may download the .pdf HERE or on the CMU site; however, all entries must be done through CaFE, so most of the links in this post go to that listing.
