What’s your favorite edible flower? Most of us have had a lilac or rose petal infused whipped cream. But I want to encourage you to try a little Calendula in place of saffron or peppery Nasturtium salad. Just remember that blooms used in cooking must be orgainic–no exceptions. CALL for ENTRIES:
The Blooming
“For this exhibition, we’re looking for art that represents all things floral & blooming.” –from Raebec Gallery
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists
MEDIA: Open to all media including: paintings, drawings, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, sculpture, photography & CGI works. Ineligible media includes: Wearable art, jewelry, artwork in frames.
DEADLINE: September 30, 2014
NOTIFICATION: Approximately 2 weeks after the deadline
ENTRY FEE: $35 for 3 entries and $5 per every entry thereafter
AWARDS: Cash prizes, Awards of Excellence & Special Recognitions will be awarded to the top 3 & honorable mentions.
SALES: The gallery will take the 30% commission.
