I spent my pre-adolescence & formative culinary years in a small Georgia town. It wasn’t all peanuts but more a montage of scenes including fried foods, all-you-can-eat buffets, red-clay stained feet & knees, and demolition derbies. But in hindsight, I think those scenes were more about my family and less about the place– Marietta, Georgia. ENTRY FEE: $35 for up to 3 for Members; $40 for Non-Members.
JUROR: Rachel White received her BA in English & Journalism from the University of TN, her MA in Art History from George Washington University, & her PhD in Art History from the University of IL. White’s areas of specialty & teaching responsibilities were in Modern & Contemporary Art (major) & American Art (minor).
White has worked at the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden, Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, the Krannert Art Museum & the University of IL. White is currently the Asst. Curator of Education at the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, TN.
AWARDS: 1st place: $750, 2nd Place: $500, 3rd Place: $250
