basic BOWLS
My husband does design work for a commercial potter. As a result, I find myself lingering over the kitchenware when I visit his office. I am currently obsessed with the little 4-cup mixing bowls with a pour spout. I own one in stainless steel, and it is my “go to” for small jobs like dressings, dips & marinades. Having multiple, beautifully hand-thrown versions with a pour spout is nearly more temptation than I can take. My inability to choose a glaze is the only thing saving me at the moment. ELIGIBILITY: Open to U.S. artists 18+
MEDIA: Open to clay, glass, wood or metal alone or in combination.
ENTRY FEE: $55 up to 8, $5 ea add’l until 6/25 (final) or $65 for up to 8 until July 9 (late).
DEADLINE: June 12, 2017 (early bird) or June 25, 2017 (final) or July 9th (late)
NOTIFICATION: August 14, 2017
JUROR: Lilian Tone is Assistant Curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art. At MoMA, she organized & curated exhibitions. Her published work includes articles, interviews & essays in exhibition catalogues & other publications.
AWARDS: Gold $500, Silver $250, Bronze $100 & five (5) Certificates of Merit.
