The people with whom I eat most often have lots of food allergies –milk, shellfish, wheat. So how does a food co-exist with food allergies? The secret is parallel thinking. For example, I need to make chili paste for Thai dishes, but my husband is deathly allergic to shellfish. Who might love Thai food, but naturally wouldn’t eat shrimp? Vegetarians. CALL for ENTRIES:
Embracing our Differences 2019

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists
MEDIA: 2 Dimensional work (photography, digital, collage, drawing, painting, etc.)
DEADLINE: October 15, 2018
NOTIFICATION: If selected for inclusion in the exhibit, you will be notified by email by late December. Due to the volume of submissions, only artists with entries selected for display will be notified individually. All winning entries will be posted on the website by early January.
ENTRY FEE: None
AWARDS: A total of $3,000 USD will be presented in the form of three separate awards – $1,000 each for “Best-in-Show Adult;” “Best-in-Show Student;” and the “People’s Choice.”
JURY PROCESS: Both “Best-in-Show” awards will be granted by a three-judge panel of art professionals. The “People’s Choice” award will be determined by visitors to the exhibits.
