Flights of Fantasy from the
Arts Council of SE Missouri

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all U.S. artists, 18+
MEDIA: Open to all media
THEME: The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri is looking for artists who incorporate the themes of science fiction, fantasy & the surreal in their works.
DEADLINE: April 15, 2017
NOTIFICATION: May 10, 2017
ENTRY FEE: $30 for up to 3, $5 ea. add’l
JUROR: Wendy Martin is an internationally known children’s book illustrator and fantasy artist. Her art has strong graphic leanings reminiscent of Alphonse Mucha’s Art Nouveau works. The media she uses to complete her paintings are both traditional and digital: mainly watercolor, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. She has a love of patterns and textiles, which also show up in her illustrations.
AWARDS: Cash awards will be given for Best of Show $500, 2nd Place $300 & 3rd Place $200.
SALES: Every effort is made to promote sales. The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will retain a 30% commission.
