ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists

THEME: “Figuratively Speaking” – depict the human form, face or features in representational or abstract works (portraiture, sculpture & all subject matter including people); or works which depict a broader interpretation of the theme, such as figurative language & figures of speech.

MEDIA: Open to all media

DEADLINE:  October 11, 2016

NOTIFICATION:  October 28, 2016

ENTRY FEE:  $35 for up to 2

JUROR:  John Morrell has painted & taught in the D.C. area for 30+ years. He received his B.S. from Georgetown & his M.F.A. from George Washington University. He has taught in the Art Departments of both universities. He is currently chair of the Department of Art & Art History & is an Associate Professor of Painting & Drawing at Georgetown University.  Morrell has had seventeen other solo exhibitions, many group exhibitions & numerous commissions for private & corporate collections.

SALES: Gallery Underground will retain a 30% commission on all sales.
