COOKING in paper
I dislike washing dishes, just like everyone else. I have had a dishwasher for the past 10 years, but I still try to be conservative in usage. But as of June 1, we are downsizing to an apartment that does not have a dishwasher. And, while I will still avoid disposables, like paper plates, I am a strong advocate of cooking “en papillote”. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all U.S. residents
MEDIA: Open to works made of, on or about paper: cut paper, folded paper, woven paper, glued paper, drawings, paintings, pastels, prints, photography, paper sculpture, 3D, bound books, collage, mixed media, video, installation.
DEADLINE: April 30, 2017
NOTIFICATION: May 30, 2017
ENTRY FEE: $35 for six (6) images
JUROR: Akili Tommasino is a curatorial assistant at The Museum of Modern Art, New York and doctoral candidate in History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University, where he earned his MA and BA. An advocate of emerging artists and scholar of the twentieth-century avant-garde, Tommasino has organized and collaborated on numerous exhibition projects at institutions including the Centre Pompidou – Musée national d’art moderne, Paris and National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC.
