TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL

No surprise…it is hard to put artists in categories.  However, if I were going to force myself to do so, I would mention that some artists are very retail oriented and others just want to produce work with substance and meaning (often known only to themselves).  And, as you know…it is the ultimate artists’ chicken-or-the-egg argument.  Fight amongst yourselves.

I love artwork that leaves me pondering meaning and crawling into the subtle nuance of every aesthetic choice; but, a hand-bound journal with hand-cut pages and a surprise on every page is artwork that function inside the daily workings of my life.  Want to sell your artwork?  Check out this Open Call from Peaceful Products.  They want to help you sell your art, and they don’t take commission.  Yep, you heard me…they ask that you donate a portion of the proceeds to the charity of your choice.  Take a Look:

Peaceful Products is a organization that sells artwork and handmade one of a kind products  by artists from around the world. Profits from each product sold goes to a charity of our artist’s choice.

Peaceful Products does not charge artists to sell their work on this website store, instead they ask the artists to donate part of their commission to an organization or charity in need.

Notecards for Cambodia by Elizabeth Masterson!Boulger grew up in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She then moved to New York City, studied fine arts at Fashion Institute of Technology and received her bachelor of fine arts from the School of Visual Arts.

Boulger then went to Endicott College to earn her masters degree of education in moderate disabilities and UMASS Lowell for a degree in behavior intervention in autism. She is now pursuing a masters degree of education in visual arts and learning at Endicott College.

Boulger is a practicing artist and has been a special educator for ten years now.   Throughout her time has a special educator, Boulger has worked hard to get all her students involved in art. She has organized many art exhibits and collaboration pieces for the students and communities she serves.
