Unfortunately for my husband, my late Aunt Mildred has been visiting. Not literally–that would be creepy. The long standing joke in my family is that my Aunt Mildred never finished anything until the last possible moment. She hemmed her daughters’ prom dresses while they were in them trying to leave for the prom, and she left all of her kitchen cabinets wide open until she was finished with dinner. This week alone, I have left kitchen cabinets wide open 4 times. If I lose count, I only have to count the knots on his head. So, my family would say, “Hi, Mildred. Thanks for visiting.” This next Call is a far better way to be wide open. Trust me on this one…

Winners of the Gold Stellar Art Awards and Stellar Art Awards will be chosen by Virginia, Glen, & guest juror.

AWARDS: All images selected as Wide Open Digital 2 finalists will appear online. Works awarded a Gold Stellar Art Award will be invited to appear in a physical, gallery exhibit at a later time. We reserve the right to extend entry deadlines & change exhibit dates.

Flow Art Space in Minneapolis, MN announces an open call for submissions for shows for the first half of 2014. Artists will be considered for possible inclusion in group shows and/or chosen as a featured artist.

MEDIA: Artworks may be any size, but they MUST fit in a 9”x 12” envelope to be mailed, although they may be folded, 3D or multi-part. More than one work may be mailed in each envelope. Acceptable mediums include unmatted, unframed photography, drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media, cast or folded paperworks, artist books or digital prints. All artwork sent should be original – no reproductions.

Art not on/of paper or paper products will not be displayed (although other materials may be attached to the paper).
