MOUTH

I dislike the semantics of having an “open mind”.  Doesn’t that, quite literally, mean that anything can go in and out?  I don’t want that for my mind any more than I want that for my menu.  I simply will not abide even a “devil’s advocate” argument on some subjects anymore because for me, wrong is wrong.  I feel the same way about food.  I’ve tried an impossibly large number of foods over the years.  I will not even entertain the possibility of tasting some foods anymore.  Grubs might be fantastic or even taste like my favorite stinky cheese, but I won’t be eating them, EVER.  Call me closed-minded AND closed-mouthed in this respect.  Luckily, this next show is wide open.  Investigate…

Check out this Call for Entries from the BWAC (Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition in Brooklyn , NY)  for called Wide Open 5. The guidelines are as wide open as the show name.  And there is only a 25% commission. Don’t miss this opportunity…

CHEF

Don’t you love it when a movie or tv show depicts the uninhibited excitement of cooking naked or with nothing but an apron on?  Unless you subscribe to a raw food diet, I don’t recommend it.  Mixing bowls: cold.  Soup and/or bacon grease: very hot.  Keep your apron on, my dears, and use this next call to be Un-Inhibited.  It’s safer; just take my word for it…

Check out this Call for Entries from the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition called Un-Inhibited. The sky is the limit on this show–they are open to just about everything. Don’t miss this one…

CALL for ENTRIES: Unhinged

I think the teenagers that work at my local market think I am the crazy produce lady.  It might have something to do with the muttering under my breath when they drop the pineapple on my tomatoes or the fact that I will stand in a longer line to get the cashier that won’t drop a cantaloupe on my cilantro.   The muttering prevents me from coming unhinged.  The only thing missing from the scenerio is my muttering “whippersnappers,” but I assure you it will show up eventually. Hehe.  This next Call wants unhinged in a less curmudgeonly way, I suspect.  You decide…
