I cannot eat enough watermelon these days. And, I am intrigued by the variances. My town has ONE grocery store, and the markings indicate that most of the watermelons they carry come from a single source. So how is it that 3 melons of equal ripeness bought on 3 different days taste SO different? One is super sweet, one in grainy & one is ripe, but tangy. My husband is a string bean. He is six feet tall and has spent most of the past 15 years struggling to hang on to 145 lbs all while consuming every meal as though it were it last. Yes, it IS annoying. But, changes in the fat & protein content in our diet over the past year have resulted in his gaining about 10 lbs and a pant size. I’m tickled.
