I have a tiny refrigerator.  Well, let me re-phrase that.  I have a small (by American standards) full-size refrigerator. JUROR:  Emily Williams creates detailed glass sculptures inspired by the natural world. Her glass sculptures explore complex plant & sea life forms.  Science & natural history have always played a strong role in her life. She began teaching sculpture in 1989 at Clarion University of PA. Over the years she has shared her passion for sculpture with her students.  Williams has received a number of grants and awards through the years, including a Fulbright Hays grant to study in Italy. Williams was awarded her M.F.A. in Sculpture from Washington University in Saint Louis, MO.

AWARDS:  Juror’s Awards will be named by the juror and announced at the Awards Reception on Sunday, November 12, 2017. These are cash awards for high-quality work.  Purchase Awards will be named by the Alice C. Sabatini Gallery and will become part of the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library’s permanent art collection. Awards are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

She received her MA, Art History at Hunter College, CUNY & BFA, Studio Art & BS, Psychology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX.
