They sort of cover the full range of foodie-ism too –from sous chefs to chili cookoff champions & even those that love to eat but can burn water. A recent scandal broke out amongst my chili chefs about how many of the local & regional cookoffs have become “popularity contests” with prize money going to the team that could conjure enough of their friends to attend & vote. Today has been the hottest day of the year in my area. Normally I would have hidden indoors for fear of having a heat-triggered, cough-variant asthma attack. But, I ventured forth and no asthma attack. I have dropped a few pounds recently in an effort to reduce the chances of overheating this summer. Diners listen to & review project proposals & converse with the thinkers behind each idea.

AWARDS: F.E.A.S.T. attendees cast a vote for their favorite proposal, and by the end of the event, the artist who garners the most votes is awarded a grant comprised of the event ticket money.
