Famous words, “No politics, let’s eat.” FOOD IS POLITICAL. In the United States, for example, our Department of Agriculture suggests that half our diet be composed of fruits & vegetable (great); however, more than 60% of agricultural subsidies go to corn & other grains which are primarily consumed by the commercial meat & poultry industries. Do you know how much of those subsidy funds go to growers of fruits & vegetables? Less than 1%. Food is political. For our show this month, we seek pieces that express all things political, regardless of party or belief systems.”

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists
MEDIA: Open to all media, but must be inspired by anything the artist considers ‘political’, either traditionally or digitally, in some way.
DEADLINE: October 3, 2018
NOTIFICATION: October 10, 2018
ENTRY FEE: $35 for up to 3
SALES: The gallery will retain 35% commission on all sales.
