I have dessert after every meal. There, I admit it. I have bre-ssert (usually fruit or chocolate BR-eakfast), le-ssert (often cookies or candy after L-unch), and dessert (cheesecake & chocolate torte are my favorites). Everyday. I’m not into self-deprivation, and I consider dessert a sort of punctuation after meal production. CALL for ENTRIES:
Direct Art Magazine
Annual Competition

This competition is for Direct Art Magazine, Volume 21, Fall 2014 edition. The competition is for twenty publication awards. Artist winners of the competition will, at no cost to the artist, have their work appear Volume 21 of Direct Art Magazine.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists

MEDIA: All media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art are eligible. Video artists may submit video only if the work can be represented in print form.

DEADLINE: March 31, 2014

NOTIFICATION: April 30, 2014. Results will be posted here.

ENTRY FEE: $35 for up to 4, $5 ea. add’l

AWARDS: Grand Prize: Front Cover and six page feature display, 2nd Prize: Back Cover and four page feature display, 3rd & 4th Prizes: Four page feature, 5th & 6th Prizes: Double page feature display, Awards 7-20: Single full page display. Editors Awards: Additional pages, inside covers, mast head and outside covers may be assigned based on editorial selection.
