IT ISN’T PEANUTS…
to me
I don’t abide people who steal food off my plate. No surprise, right? Well, rest assured, some people will try anyway. I love this blog. I have made wonderful relationships with artists and galleries across the world. I receive lots of email from you on topics ranging from art to restaurant recommendations. Thank you.
I am saddened to say; however, there is a thief among us. For those of you unfamiliar, there is a foul-tasting category of fruit out there called an autoblogger. They set up websites, subscribe to your RSS feed, and then publish your content as their own. I write about my husband and my child. Why would anyone think it is okay for them to republish my personal thought without my permission?
I also blog about my passion for food and art…usually at the request of gallery owners. And I want as many artists as possible to find their way HERE. I spend hundreds of hours a year working here because I love you guys. I reap the benefits of an expanded community.
If you are reading this blog post anywhere other than by email subscription or on www.ArtAndArtDeadlines.com, it HAS BEEN STOLEN. I have taken lots of steps to find justice, and maybe they will work out. I am taking deep breaths and resisting the urge to post her name, home address, and phone number her, on facebook and twitter because I am trying not to be vengeful. But, honestly, right now…
oh — now you have me wondering if someone has done this to me! I hate things like this — and especially when it involves art and writing about art — for goodness sake — can’t people write a legitimate blog like the rest of us!
I’m really sorry that this has happened to you. I love your blog! You’ve been hugely helpful to me, and I’m sure to many, many others.
Dear Rachel, you are doing such a fantastic job of helping artists…please don’t let any “copycat” destroy your wonderful spirit and love of what you do…it rings loud and clear with every word you post. Remember, imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Rock on!
