I like projects to stir up my creativity. The Art House Co-op is a great group for projects.
Your faithful blogger, R.L. Gibson, has participated in other projects, and if you’ve got an extra $18 and want to be published…give it a try. The deadline to sign up (& pay) isn’t until February of 2010; however, experience has taught me that these projects fill up REALLY fast.
So…. Don’t wait or there won’t be any cookies left.
SHOW: The Scavenger Project 2 — Art House Co-op

April 15, 2010 (Postmark deadline to submit your artwork by)
EXHIBIT TYPE: multiple exhibitions (at galleries in Brooklyn, NY and Seattle, WA) and in a book.
MEDIA: Any medium may be used as long as it can be shipped (or photos taken and included on a CD).
DESCRIPTION: The Art House Co-op will send you a list of 10 items for you to interpret anyway you can think of. This is as much a social experiment as it is an art exhibition. Experimentation and thinking outside of the box is the name of the game. The first time Art House Co-op did the Scavenger hunt project is was a blast. This time they will be traveling to Seattle with it. It seems like everyone really pushes the limits of their creativity for The Scavenger Project!

ArtAndArtDeadlines.com is a free service–forever and always. But clicking on a sponsor’s ad can help you find additional Art Deadlines and help this service remain free. I’ve filtered the ads so they are mostly about art. I hope you find something intriguing! Thanks for your support!
I’ve participated in Art House shows before as well. They inspire creativity and are so much fun! Their publications are really nice, too! 🙂
I like the idea of this one…I like a complex list of things to work with because I am forced to make my artistic brain stretch. Make sure you send ArtAndArtDeadlines.com the results if you choose to enter so that we can post it. R.L.
